Obstructive Sleep Apnea

This podcast presents an approach to the management of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in children. In this episode, listeners will learn about the pathophysiology of OSA and common causes in the pediatric population, steps to evaluating OSA in a pediatric patient, the role of a PSG in diagnosing OSA, as well as treatment options for OSA. This podcast was developed by Steffany Charles in collaboration with Dr. Joanna MacLean, a pediatric Respirologist and Sleep Specialist at the Stollery Children’s Hospital and the University of Alberta. 


Physical Punishment of Children in Canada

This podcast discusses an approach to care for LGBTQ or Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer, patients in pediatrics. It was written by Jocelyn Andruko and Dr. Melanie Lewis. Jocelyn is a medical student at the University of Alberta and Dr. Lewis is a general pediatrician and Professor at the University of Alberta and Stollery Children’s Hospital.
