MSK Radiology series - Part 7

This video is the seventh part in a series discussing musculoskeletal radiology in children. The video was created by Dr. Kai Homer, a resident in Radiology at the University of Alberta with the help of Dr. Adrienne Thompson, a pediatric radiologist at the University of Alberta. The video will focus on musculoskeletal injuries and introduce some cases to help with the understanding of how radiology fits into the whole clinical picture in regards to hip radiographs.

The video was created by Dr. Kai Homer, a resident in Radiology at the University of Alberta with the help of Dr. Adrienne Thompson, a pediatric radiologist at the University of Alberta. The video will focus on musculoskeletal injuries, and introduce some cases to help with the understanding of how radiology fits into the whole clinical picture.  This first video will discuss terminology used to describe fractures in radiology, focusing on some concepts that are specific to pediatrics.

This video presents an approach to pediatric abdominal x-rays.  By the end of this video, you should be able to describe common radiographic findings in the pediatric population, including foreign body ingestion, duodenal atresia, and pneumoperitoneum. This podcast and video are developed by Ben Pi, a medical student at the University of Alberta, with the help of Dr. Jacob Jaremko, a pediatric MSK radiologist at the University of Alberta Hospital.
